Play, Make, Create Week 7 Term 3 2021

 In Week 7 of Term 3, we got back to school!!! On Friday, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation.  This week Mrs Craig Read the book: Tidy

  It was about a badger that was too tidy.

 I chose to make the bager blow the leaves away to tidy.

Writing Week 5 Term 3 2021 My Metamorphosis

Yet another thing we did for writing this week was to imagine that we had undergone

metamorphosis.We had to pretend we had woken up one morning and discovered we had changed.

It would be like going to sleep as a caterpillar and waking up as a butterfly.

We had to write about what our new body was like and what we could do.

I chose to turn into a ladybug

Writing Week 5 Term 3 2021 Mini beasts

Another thing we did for writing this week was a mini beast observation. First, you had

to go out into your backyard and find a mini beast, then you had to bring it inside and

describe it. I chose to describe a ladybug

Acrostic poem lightning

Today we wrote a piece of writing about the weather. We got to choose whatever type of writing we wanted. I chose to do an acrostic about lightning.

In week 9 we write about what we did on the weekend I choose to write about killing my pig it was so fun.

Book Character Parade Reading Week 8 2021

In Week 8, Term 2  our school librarian, Mrs C, retired. On her last day, we put on a  Book Character Parade. We dressed up in costumes like book characters and then we went on a parade through the Daycare Centre next to the school, past the shops in the village, along Hobson St and back upTennyson St to the school. 

 I chose to dress up as slappy from goosebumps

Rangipoint recount

 This is my holiday writing. I went to Rangipoint. It was fun, I hope you like it.

I Didn't Poem

      This is my I didn't poem.   On play make create we made a I didn't poem and said what we didn't do             in  the holidays. 

Seed

I made an acrostic poem about seeds.   We went outside to look for seeds there where heaps of seeds.

Coding of Cicada Lifecycle

We have coded our own unplugged program of the five stages of the cicada lifecycle. We have included some obstacles too.  The goal is to be able to have someone follow our codes to navigate our lifecycle by getting from stage 1 to stage 5 and avoiding the obstacles.  Here are some examples of our coded lifecycles.

I think that I am good at making my tall letters the correct height most of the time.

Easter Holiday

The goal of this writing activity was to retell what we did during Easter. We had to remember to use sequencing adverbs at the beginning of our paragraphs.
